Purpose
Chat brings personal conversations and community spaces into a wallet-oriented communication workspace. The central idea is that a person can keep their own identity and direct conversations while participating in organizations that have different rooms, rules and membership requirements.
The product
The reviewed interface includes chats, rooms, contacts, saved messages and settings, alongside email, channels and forum navigation. Its initial screen asks the visitor to connect a wallet to enable encrypted direct messages and community rooms. Product documentation describes personal spaces, organization configurations and optional encrypted settings sync; seeing a navigation item alone does not establish that its service is configured.
Community and participation
An organization can bring its own branding, supported chains, access rules and room structure. The documented product is intended for wallet-native communities generally, with Bittrees configurations serving as examples rather than a requirement to join the ecosystem. Personal messages remain associated with the user while rooms are governed by the organization that provides them.
Integration and current stage
The documented messaging integrations include wallet identity, XMTP, ENS and external room-admission services. Those are configured capabilities, not permissions automatically granted by a wallet connection. The repository still identifies the hosted product as a preview and distinguishes local mock messaging from production delivery. This review inspected the public shell without signing in or sending messages.
A good place to start
Open Chat and use Settings to review wallet and organization setup. Choose the community you want to join before expecting access to its rooms.
