Purpose and world

Spacetrader follows an independent captain through the markets and trade routes of the Solar System. Start with a used courier and a charter loan, buy goods where supplies are plentiful and carry them to stations that need them. Fuel, cargo space, freight deadlines and the danger of raiders turn each voyage into a choice about profit, preparation and protecting the next cargo. The setting begins in 2089, after Asterion fusion drives have brought the Solar System closer together. Human habitats, Ilyri communities and Veyr route houses share its docks while stations depend on supplies such as water, food and machine parts. The journey remains single-player: the markets, relationships and fleet belong to your captain’s voyage.

Trading, ships and live battles

Station production, consumption and finite inventories shape supply, demand and prices. Compare markets, choose cargo that fits your ships and decide when to buy, hold or sell. More goods become available as your captain progresses. Freight contracts offer separate client work with delivery terms, route risk and consequences for a breach. Warehouses, deposits and loans support a growing trading operation. The public guide, ship catalogue and goods pricing curves help players understand the equipment and markets. Build a fleet, improve individual ships and fit weapons, shields and other upgrades. Each ship can remember a battle profile suited to its equipment and role. Raiders can interrupt travel between stations, while blockades threaten access to a destination. Battles unfold live, with opportunities to change orders as ships move and fire; ammunition, defenses and preparation matter. A battle summary records the result before the journey continues.

Station contacts and discoveries

Each establishment combines its services with conversations shaped by the character, station and your captain’s experience. Contacts can lead to freight, escort and passenger work, bounties, missions and discoveries. Hire specialist crew, uncover relics and build local relationships over time. Reputation and recorded decisions help shape later opportunities, while the journal and action history preserve what happened.

Account saves and separate voyages

Sign in with your verified email or Ethereum wallet to save progress to your account and continue in another browser or on another device. One account can hold different voyages, each with its own captain, journal, action history and three checkpoint slots. Starting a new account voyage preserves the earlier ones. Open Menu → Saved voyages to create or load a charter; different devices can play different voyages under the same account, and each open tab keeps its selected voyage. Account actions need a connection, and all voyages share the account’s storage allowance. Device-only progress stays separate until you choose Transfer device voyage & history; that transfer keeps the device original.

A good place to start

Open Play Spacetrader and choose New charter from the menu. To continue across devices, sign in with email or Ethereum and use Saved voyages. If you started on this device, choose Transfer device voyage & history to add that progress to your account. Use the same sign-in identity on your other device, then load the voyage you want.
